Whether the Herald of the Red King is a separate demonic entity or merely a fragment of the Red King himself remains a matter for academic debate. Whichever the case, the Herald never resides fully in one plane, and always seems to flicker slightly as though going in and out of focus. When not delivering a specific message, the Herald constantly shouts the Litany of the Red King, which is painful for most living creatures to hear.
